LES Philippines holds "Ask-Me-Anything" event for new and prospective members

The Licensing Executives Society Philippines (LES Philippines) held its first “Ask-Me-Anything” session on 15 April 2021 via Zoom meeting. LES International Past President Patricia A.O. Bunye opened the event with a short history of LES, which was followed by LES Philippines President Bienvenido A. Marquez III’s message encouraging the attendees to join the High-Growth Technology Business Conference 2021 (Asia) this 27 April 2021 and the LES Annual Conference on 27 May 2021.

Updates on the forthcoming Asia Pacific Young Members Congress this November 2021 was given by LES Philippines Corporate Secretary Reena Mitra-Ventanilla. LES Philippines Membership Committee head Abelaine T. Alcantara discussed membership benefits while Filipino Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers, Inc. (FILSCAP) General Manager and LES Philippines Director Mark Thursday Alciso spoke about the importance of understanding licensing concepts in the music publication industry, especially for the purpose of securing financial advantages to creators. Several questions from the participants on LES Philippines membership for college students, LESP’s code of ethics, licensing for Millennials and GenZ, and partnerships with professional societies and organizations were answered by the panel during the open forum.
